Burgenland
Burgenland is Austria’s easternmost region. Visit one of the countless castles and fortresses, or indulge your passion for culture with the Haydn Days in Eisenstadt or the Summer Operetta Festival in Mörbisch. Birdwatchers and water sports enthusiasts flock to Neusiedlersee, Central Europe’s only steppe lake. Naturalists are attracted to Seewinkel, a national park of grasslands and wetlands on the eastern shores of Neusiedlersee. Those in search of pampering should head for one of the many spas. Wine journeys are very popular in the Neusiedler See-Region, the Blaufränkischland and the Uhudler area in Burgenland’s south.
