Upper Austria

Upper Austria, located between the Böhmerwald region in the north and the Dachstein Mountains in the south, offers a variety of stunning landscapes ranging from gentle hills to rugged mountains. Old castles, imposing fortresses and ancient ruins stand sentinel above the idyllic Danube Valley. The region around the towns of Linz-Wels-Steyr is best explored by bicycle.
