Wine Autum in Lower Austria

Weinherbst takes place from late August to the end of November and is the ideal opportunity to get to know Austria’s leading wine growing area and its famous Grüner Veltliner grape.

The love of wine and the pleasure of enjoying wine as well as regional traditions and “joie de vivre” Austrian style have made the “Weinherbst Lower Austria” (“Wine Autumn Lower Austria”) Europe’s biggest wine festival. Weinherbst is the ideal opportunity to get to know Austria’s leading wine growing area and its famous Grüner Veltliner grape, as well as other culinary and cultural specialties of the region. The programs include wine tastings, traditional regional festivals, guided tours to the wine cellars (Kellergassen) in the vineyards and special culinary themes at the regions’ restaurants.
