How to arrive here:

By plane. Brasilia has a modern international airport.

By bus. Bus services connect Brasilia to all important Brazilian cities.

Trains are seldom used for inter-city transportation in Brazil.

You may want to see the distances from Brasilia to other Brazilian / world cities.

When to visit? Any time! The temperature is very pleasant all over the year (never too hot, never too cold). Just remember that between July and the beginning of September, air humidity may become very low (as you may see in the graphic). Between December and January, by the other side, it will be raining almost everyday! We think the best time to visit Brasilia is from March to June.

If you plan to stay less than 2 days in our city, we suggest that you avoid visiting on a Sunday or on a holiday (see a list of holidays), so that you can feel the real Life of our city.

About Brazilian currency:

Brazilian currency is the "Real" since 1994.

Bank notes: R$ 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100.

Coins: 1c, 5c, 10c, 25c, 50c, and R$ 1.

There are over 30 places all over the city where you can exchange currency.

One of the most convenient ones is Banco do Brasil agency at the airport.
