Small but intriguing, the Modern Art Museum in Ibirapuera Park has two galleries which it devotes to ever-changing exhibits of modern work, be it in the form of painting, sculpture, video, textile, or some other medium. At any one time, each of the main building's two spacious and well-lit galleries are given over to a particular artist. Check the website or call for upcoming exhibits. Also on-site is a small library featuring an excellent collection of art books in various languages, plus a scanner and copier service. Surrounding the museum is a sculpture garden featuring 28 works by different Brazilian artists, created between 1973 and 1997. Allow 45 minutes.
