Cerro El Fraile Ski Center

Situated in the austral zone at 1,600 meters above sea level, with an area of 550 hectares, this center is something special as you can ski between forests of various types of trees including pine and Antarctic beech.

Only 29 kilometers to the south west of Coyhaique, it has two ski-lifts and 5 runs with "powder snow" ranging between 600 and 2,200 meters in length. The center also contains a first-aid service, cafeteria, equipment rental and an equipment repair service.

Cerro El Fraile operates from Thursday to Sunday and on the winter holidays between Tuesday and Sunday.
