Atacama Salt Deposit

It is the biggest salt deposit in Chile with a rough, white surface that hides, to the naked eye, a large salt lake. Its surface area measures 750,000 acres (300,000 ha), which can be appreciated in its entirety thanks to the air clarity, a result of the region's extremely dry climate. However, this great visibility distorts one's perception of distance.
