MARMARI

Only a few kilometers separate you from the magical Marmari. A village where you can enjoy beauty that nature so generously provides, but also luxury that is surely due to human intervention. Hotel complexes are scattered throughout its green landscape, whose sole purpose lies in making your holidays unforgettable. There are, however, also many rented rooms available, where the personal style of their owners manifests itself.

Of course, one can not imagine vacations in Greece without the traditional tavern. For a perfect combination it must be accompanied by a glass of ouzo, which with its own special way brings out the flavor in the food. A stroll around the port is considered to be a must. There you have the opportunity to meet the local people and have a chat with them. Their sun-burnt faces have taken on an enviable rosy shade. An undeniable asset of the region are its beeches, they are numerous so as to accommodate all visitors.

From Kokkini, Fygia and Zastani up to Basiliko, Eirini and Baniera, all the beeches have their own particular style, which will certainly charm you. You will stretch out under the pine trees, and admire the wild flowers that grow on the slopes. The beech "Golden Sand" offers not only the coolness of its clean waters but also innumerable possibilities for entertainment. Its blue waters will keep you company while you enjoy your favorite water sport, at the same time admiring the scenery.

Nature surely was very generous with the islands of Petalia. They are situated a small distance from Marmari and they are dipped in green. Their major characteristic are their multi-colored rocks that accompany their blue waters.

There you will be enchanted not only by the beauty of the scenery but also by the love shown by the inhabitants for their natural inheritance. You will be amazed by the beauty and luxury of the houses around you, since they belong to rather wealthy people who have chosen this place to enjoy carefree vacations.

The "Dragonhouse" got its name from the huge stones of which it is built. It represents the architecture of the early ages (1000 B.C.).
