Panama City

Located in the Panhandle of Florida, only an hour or so from Florida State University (FSU), lies the spring break mecca known as Panama City Beach. Panama City has beautiful wide beaches and countless bars and clubs to make the nights go by in a flash. This is a favorite for many people and rightfully so, it's a guaranteed good time.

Panama City's beachs are so wide and amazing its definitely worth while to check them out. They also allow alcohol on their beaches, which is an added bonus. Many of the hotels are located directly on the beach so you can wake up, stumble downstairs, and you're right smack dab in the middle of the action. The days are long here, so after a good day at the beach, most people are back napping for a few hours before hitting up the wild night life.

Once you are all rested and ready to hit the streets, a few places you'll want to visit are La Vela, the oh so famous club seen on MTV for many years in a row now. After La Vela its time to get a move on to any number of night clubs such as Spinnaker's, Schooner's, Hammerhead Fred's, and Sharkys. You're in for a long night of partying so pace yourself. Usually the partying winds down at around 3am so it's definitely a wild ride. One great option is to signup for the bar crawls which gives you access to pretty much every club, along with a bus ride to take you safely back to your hotel.

Panama is great for people north of Florida who want a fun place to go that isn't too far of a drive. You are sure to have a great experience in Panama City and if if you plan on going, find out if MTV is going to be around, that always makes for a great time.
