Study Spanish in Spain

Instituto Español de Granada is a private school specialized in teaching Spanish to foreigners. Our aim is to offer practical courses in a young atmosphere orientated towards the University.

The Institute building is located in one of the oldest streets of Granada, in the very heart of the city, beside the Padre Suarez High School, where Federico García Lorca studied, and opposite the University Teacher Training College.

It is just a step away from the commercial center, also in the ancient quarter of the city. Five minutes' walk from the Institute is the University campus with its sports facilities, and closer is the main University building, or Rectorado, the 16th century former Hospital Real and its Library of Archivo de Indias, containing important original documents concerning the discovering of America.

Other faculties are also near at hand, and thus we are immersed in the atmosphere of the University.

CEVA means "Centro de Estudios y Vacaciones de Almuñecar" (Almuñecar Study and Holiday Center), that's why we want you to enjoy your time here as much as we do.

We provide the ideal environment where our students actively learn and "live" the language and experience the special characteristics and way of life of Spain. You will have time to study, time to relate, and time to relax.

CEVA is not only a language school, but also a cultural association; (elected member of the Granada Provincial Board of Tourism, and of the Almuñécar Municipal Board of Culture). The study and social environment we have built up will help you learn Spanish fast, efficiently, and without stress. We can ensure high standards and personal attention both in and out of lessons.

Our school has been a member of the international Tandem Network of languages schools since 1986. We are a small, friendly school in the center of the city and a 5 minute walking distance from the famous Ramblas. Many students of many nationalities learn Spanish in our school every year. They all like the small classes, the good teaching and the wonderfully low fees.

It is staffed by a professional team of qualified and experienced teachers. We offer standard (20 h.) and intensive (20 h. + 10 h.), (1 h = 45 min. long ) courses throughout the year. There are 6 differents levels from beginner to advanced.

The courses last from 2 weeks onwards, class size are small giving each students the opportunity to participate fully in class activities, groups are organized according to ability after an individual test. With a maximum of 10 students per class very personal attention is assured.

Lessons are held from 9.00 to 12.15 am and 12.30 to 15.45 pm. Classes are taught in 90 min. sessions. The class has a maximum of 10 students per class. In addition to the classes the school offers a cultural programme accompanied by the teacher.Escuela de Idiomas Nerja is situated in the heart of the old town, in a typically Andalusian house with more than 200 square metres of tropical garden, only a few minutes walk from your accommodation, the shops and the beaches.

Our installations consist of twelve well equipped classrooms, a book shop, a library, multimedia and cafeteria, all for the use of our students.

Our teachers are philologists, specialists in the various courses we offer, who form an enthusiastic, well coordinated team, qualified to help you to learn in the most effective manner possible.

The courses we offer are tailored to satisfy the students necessities, both with regard to the language in general terms, and in the specific fields of management, commerce, business, Spanish teaching methodology and official examinations.

To help with teaching the language, we combine our professional experience with the most up-to-date technical methods (videos, projections, slides, audio), paying special attention to Spanish current affairs (the press, magazines, books, photos and other materials).

The School, founded in 1980, belongs to various Professional Associations, which guarantee the quality of our courses and services.

The HISPANO CONTINENTAL school is situated in the historical center of Salamanca (one minute from the Plaza Mayor), in the midst of all the town's activities; cinemas, theaters, banks, bars, restaurants and huge variety of shops.

Our main concern is the teaching of Spanish grammar and usage to foreign students, however, we offer many additional complimentary subjects and activities.

Our school also has a modern languages department for Spanish students, offering classes in English, French, German and Italian, therefore making it possible for you to meet Spanish people and practice your Spanish. All our personnel are efficient, enthusiastic and highly qualified with degrees in Spanish Philology. We invite you to come and learn with us.

You can commence your course on almost any day of the year. A placement test is taken by every student when they arrive at the school to ensure that there is a common level in any given class and that no-one's progress is restricted. From April to September the maximum number of students increases to 10 for all courses.
