Appuldurcombe House

Appuldurcombe House, Wroxall, Isle of Wight, partly restored 18th century Baroque House in 11 acres of ‘Capability Brown’ ornamental Grounds. Now home of Isle of Wight Owl and Falconry Centre with flying displays daily of birds of prey from around the world.

Blackgang Chine

Brading Roman Villa

The Romans called the Isle of Wight Vectis and it is believed they farmed the land quite intensively. The villa at Brading had fine mosaic floors, as can be seen today.

Classic Boat Museum

This Maritime Heritage Museum exhibits 60 small, attractive and unique craft with special displays changed each year. Restoration of historic boats by volunteers is always on view and research is undertaken from the large archives.

The Needles

The Isle of Wight was once joined to the mainland by a chalk ridge. This ridge runs across the centre of the island from Culver Cliff, near Bembridge, at the far eastern point, to the Needles at the far western point.
