Ascott House

The De Rothschild family bought Ascott in 1876. It was originally a Jacobean farmhouse and has been considerably transformed and enlarged. It contains a very fine collection of paintings and oriental porcelain as well as English and French furniture.

Luton Museum & Gallery

Stockwood Craft Museum & Gardens

Visit the craft museum with its fascinating displays of Bedfordshire rural life, crafts and trades, housed in 18th Century stables. A visit to Stockwood also includes beautiful period gardens, the Hamilton Finlay sculpture garden and the Mossman collection – Britain’s largest public collection of horse-drawn vehicles.
