Astley Hall

Astley Hall dates back to Elizabethan times and much of the timber framing of this period survives. As you move around the furnished rooms you will notice that the house has retained a lived in feel, highlights include a 27 feet long table in the long gallery and decorative plaster ceilings among the best in the country.

Bancroft Mill Engine Steam Museum

600hp Textile mill engine run in steam. Rope drive, hand fired boilers, weaving demonstrations on Lancashire looms. Textile related displays. Museum shop, tearoom, toilets, and disabled friendly.

Horses & Ponies Protection Association

One of the oldest and most respected charities for equine welfare, we have 2 rescue centres, one in Burnley, Lancashire and one in Chepstow, Gwent. We have over 70 equines at each rescue centre and over 700 out on loan.

Meols Hall Manor House

Meols Hall, Southport’s Historical Manor House has been in the Hesketh family for 27 generations, and is still a privately owned home. Meols Hall offers guided tours of the house and traditional afternoon teas are available in the 400 year old Tithe Barn for group bookings only.
