Bircham Gallery

Bircham Windmill

Bircham Windmill

Standing in the heart of Norfolk's undulating fields, Bircham Windmill now looks as it did over 100 years ago. Today, very few windmills are left, and Bircham Mill is considered one of the best still remaining: it is the only windmill in working order in the area open to the public.

Hillside Animal Sanctuary

Hillside Animal Sanctuary is home to hundreds of rescued animals and campaigns on behalf of those who suffer in the factory farming industry. We are a charitable institution and look after horses, sheep, pigs, donkeys, cows, ducks, chickens and geese, as well as a pair of camels.

Hillside Animal Sanctuary

For almost 20 years, the Hillside Animal Sanctuary has looked after unwanted and abused animals as well as successfully campaigning to improve the care of farm animals. Visitors to the sanctuary can now adopt an animal to help pay for it's care and welfare.

Le Strange Old Barns

Situated in Old Hunstanton, a quiet picturesque village, by a beautiful beach, opposite a popular pub with extensive garden eating areas. Daily varying craft demonstrations including woodturning, teddy making, flower crafts, glass painting and jewellery beadwork can be seen alongside our working pottery.

Letheringsett Watermill

A restored working watermill (1798) producing 100% organic and whole wheat flour from English wheat. Working demonstrations and tours take place Tuesday to Friday 2pm to 4.15pm in Summer.

North Norfolk Railway

East Anglia’s premier heritage railway, open April to October. The scenic line goes from Sheringham along the coast to Weymouth and up through unspoilt heathland to the market town of Holt.

Norwich Cathedral

Norwich Cathedral is a magnificent Norman building set in the largest close in England. The nave roof bosses, illustrating the Bible from Creation to the Day of Judgement, and the Saxon Bishop’s throne in the eastern apse, are unique features.
