Beccles Museum Housed in a grade I listed building, the Beccles Museum serves NorthEast Suffolk. We have Victorian and trade exhibits, with a temporary exhibition from a local village. Clare Ancient House Museum A local social history museum located in a Grade I listed building in the centre of Clare, Suffolk. The museum provides graphic displays and exhibits with comprehensive, computerised records of both Clare people and buildings dating back to 1500. Deben Cruises Take a two hour cruise aboard the well equipped MV Jahan. Cruise along the picturesque River Deben to Felixstowe ferry and return, or up to Woodbridge near the Sutton Hoo burial site. Ickworth House The eccentric Earl of Bristol created this equally eccentric house, with its central rotunda and curved corridors, in 1795 to display his collections. Moyse’s Hall Museum Moyse’s Hall Museum is housed in the oldest domestic building in East Anglia, built in 1180. It has been a museum since 1899 holding collections of archaeology, local and social history, crime and punishment and Suffolk regiment. The Manor House Museum The Manor House Museum is a fine Georgian mansion in Bury St. Edmunds where you can discover clocks, watches, paintings and furniture. The museum includes (original) costumes through all periods, specialising in the 1920s jazz beaded evening wear.. West Stow Country Park & Anglo-Saxon Village West Stow is a reconstructed Anglo-Saxon village built on the site of an original settlement. Finds from the site are displayed in a specially built interpretation centre. |
