Burford House and Gardens Burford House and Gardens is one of the regions most popular garden venues. The 15 acre site incorporates a Georgian Mansion hosting art exhibitions and selling country house furnishings, surrounded by 7 acres of beautiful riverside gardens containing the National Clematis Collection. Forge Mill Needle Museum An industrial museum with unique displays and collections telling the fascinating and sometimes gruesome story of needle-making in Victorian times. It is also an archaeological site museum with children’s activities showing finds from the ancient Cistercian Abbey of Bordesley.. Hanbury Hall Built in 1701, this elegant William & Mary-style house is famed for its beautiful painted ceilings and staircase, but has other unusual features including an orangery, ice house and Moorish gazebos. Harvington Hall Harvington Hall is an Elizabethan, moated manor house with rare wall paintings and the finest series of priests hiding places in the country. The hall has a gift shop, picnic area, tearoom and free parking. Severn Leisure Cruises The MV Conway Castle is the largest passenger vessel operating on the River Severn in Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire. Offering weekly cruises from may to September with shopping trips to Tewksbury and Worcester, afternoon tea cruises and party nights. Stone House Cottage Garden At the Stone House Cottage Garden you will find three quarters of an acre walled garden full of plants, with rare wall shrubs, climbers and herbaceous plants. Witley Court Thomas Foley built Witley Court in 1655 on the former site of a mediaeval manor house. John Nash designed subsequent additions in the early 1800s and the Dudley family subsequently bought the Court in 1837. |
