Celtica Visitor Centre Celtica is an unique theme visitor attraction presenting the history and culture of the Celts. Centre for Alternative Technology The Centre for Alternative Technology is Europe’s leading eco-centre. Set in beautiful countryside, the Centre for Alternative Technology is a unique visitor attraction with seven acres of interactive displays to inspire and entertain visitors of all ages. Coleg Trefeca (Howell Haris Museum) Howell Harris museum open by arrangement. It is advisable to telephone beforehand. The museum is housed within Coleg Trefeca, a Grade II listed building which is now a conference training and retreat centre. Corris Railway Museum The narrow gauge Corris Railway set in Mid-Wales re-commenced passenger services on June 3rd 2002 after a break of 72 years. With a free museum and passenger trains running usually from Easter to the end of October this is an attraction not to be missed. Dragonfly Cruises Cruise the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal from Brecon to Brynich, 2½ miles through a lock over an aquaduct, 2½ hours return. Public and private trips available from March to October. Dyfi Valley Days If you are planning to visit several attractions in the Dyfi Valley area you could save money with a Dyfi Valley Days ticket. Glansevern Hall Gardens An 18 acre garden surrounding a Neo-Classical house on the banks of the River Severn. Manicured lawns, island beds, borders and fountains alongside less formal areas of lakeside and woodland walks. Powis Castle and Garden The world famous garden overhung with clipped yews, shelters rare and tender plants. Laid out under the influence of Italian and French styles, the garden retains it’s original lead statues, an orangery and an aviary. Robert Owen Museum The museum is devoted to Robert Owen (1771 - 1858), model employer, early socialist and inspirer of the co-operative movement. The museum is intriguingly laid out with many pictures on display. |
