Abington Pottery Centre & Craft Shop

Abington Pottery was established in 1964 and makes hand thrown domestic and individual stoneware pottery. The centre also features work by other East Anglian potters and hand woven mats, glass and art cards.

Anglesey Abbey and Gardens

The house, dating from 1600 and built on the site of a 12th Century priory, houses a unique collection representing the tastes of one man, Huttleston Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven.

Chilford Hall Vineyard

Chilford Hall Vineyard is situated in the rolling south Cambridgeshire countryside, only 5 miles from the A11, with ample free parking. Personally guided Winery Tours (which start at 11.30, 14.00 and 15.30) from our friendly staff make a memorable and informative visit.

Elgood & Sons Ltd. Brewery

Traditional family-owned brewery and 4 acre-garden with spectacular unusual; trees, lake, rockery and maze. Visitors can watch traditional brewing methods before sampling a selection of Elgood’s wide range of award winning real ales in our purpose built visitor centre.

Elton Hall

Elton Hall has been the home of the Proby family for over 350 years. A mixture of medieval, gothic and classical styles set in beautiful gardens. The interior boasts excellent furniture and paintings from some of Britain’s most celebrated artists including Constable, Gainsburgh and Reynolds.

Ely Cathedral

The Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Ely is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Ely, which covers some 1,500 square miles of East Anglia.

Kettle’s Yard

Kettle’s Yard is a house with a permanent collection and a gallery showing a changing programme of exhibitions. Founded by Jim Ede, one a curator at the Tate Gallery, it was intended as a ‘refuge of peace and order, of the visual arts and music’.

March and District Museum

The museum is housed in an attractive car-stone building formerly used as a school in the centre of March. It has a general social history collection with emphasis on local agriculture and crafts and wide ranging material in the Fens and especially in the town of March.

Parker’s Piece

Parker’s Piece is in central Cambridge and is the setting for several local fairs. However, it really comes into its own in the summer months as an informal venue for countless rounders games, football, volleyball, cricket matches and evening drinks.

Peterborough Cathedral

The abbey church of Peterborough was founded in 655, and was destroyed by the Danes in 870. Reconstructed in 972, it was then burnt down by mistake in 1116.

Rectory Farm Shop

The Rectory Farm Shop at Milton is home of the 7 acre maize maze just 2 miles outside Cambridge. We also have pets paddock, mini tractors, farm shop and coffee shop.

The Fitzwilliam Museum

The Fitzwilliam Museum houses magnificent collections of art and antiquities of international importance – sculpture; furniture; paintings by Titian, Rubens, Van Dyck, Canaletto, Constable, Monet, Renoir, Cézanne and Picasso; drawings and prints.

The Manor

Built in about 1130, the Manor is reputedly the oldest continuously inhabited house in Britain. Made famous as the house of Green Knowe by the author Lucy Boston, it contains many items featured in her stories and readers can walk into the books.

The Raptor Foundation

The Raptor Foundation is a bird of prey sanctuary and hospital which serves as a unique and exciting place for children and adults alike to meet and learn about owls, hawks, falcons and buzzards.

Wicken Fell National Nature Reserve

Wicken Fen is Britain’s oldest nature reserve and a unique fragment of the wilderness that once covered East Anglia. A haven for birds, plants, insects and mammals alike, the Fen can be explored by the traditional wide droves and lush green paths, and there is a boardwalk nature trail giving access to several hides.

Wimpole Hall

This magnificent 18th Century house, the biggest in Cambridgeshire and set in grand style in an extensive wooded park, has an extraordinary pedigree.
