It has produced textiles since 1790 and is now a working museum, making knitting wools and fabrics on period machinery. The Guildhall Established in 1088 as part of the Benedictine Priory, rebuilt in 1553 following the reformation, the Guildhall became the meeting place of the Merchant Guild. |
